Please be aware that we do not intentionally collect, retain or store personal information from children under the age of 18, as we request that all Users declare that they are at least 18 years old.
Information we collect through the Users’ use of Sahl Application and our services:we collect, store and process information (any information that can be used to contact the Users directly such as the Users’ full name, phone number, email address and any other provided information) (“Personal Information”) and demographic information (i.e. information that the Users provide or collect and that is not personal information, including, without inventory, zip code, country of origin, system information, including the type of mobile device used by the Users, the Users’ unique device ID (e.g. the Users’ devices’ Vendor Identifier, owner’s wireless network interface address, or the mobile phone number used by the device), Network Information, telecom operator, phone operating system, the mobile phone the Users are using, the browser type, time zone settings, IP protocol address, and transaction information.
Information we collect from other sources:
We may also obtain Personal Information from other sources and combine it with the personal information we have received from the Users or collected through our services. For example; If the Users chose to link, create or sign in to their Sahl account with a payment service provider or social media platform (e.g. Facebook) or if the Users linked through an application or a separate site that uses our application processing interface (or application processing interface that we use), we can obtain information about the Users or their communications from that site or app.
Use of personal data
We may use the Personal Information that the Users provide us with and that we collect from the Users for the following purposes:Providing, maintaining, and improving our services, including, for example, facilitating payments, sending receipts, providing products and services that the Users request (and sending relevant information), developing new features and providing customer support to Users, developing security features, granting permission to Users, and sending product upgrades and administrative updates. Performing operations and internal management, including, for example, preventing fraud and misuse of our services, troubleshooting software solutions and operational problems, conducting data analysis, testing, researching, monitoring and analyzing usage and activity trends. Sending information to the Users that we believe is of interest to the Users, including information about our products, services, news and events or one of our partners and/or affiliates, as permitted and in accordance with applicable domestic laws. Notify the Users about changes to our services. Allow the Users to participate in interactive features of our services. Keep our services safe and secure.
Phone Contacts Information
The Users may choose to allow Sahl Application to access their devices’ contacts to enable the Users to pay bills on behalf of others without having to copy and paste the number. However, the Users are allowed to stop sharing their phone contacts with Sahl at any time by amending the permission settings from their phone.
Camera
The Users may choose to allow Sahl Application to access their devices’ camera to enable the Users to take picture of their electricity card, meter, personal photo, and ID for verification purposes. However, the Users are allowed to opt out of their usage of their devices’ camera at any time by amending the permission settings from their phone.
Communication
The Users hereby consent to receive text messages or e-mails and calls for the purpose of confirming the operations that take place through Sahl Application, as well as receiving advertising and advertising materials on Sahl Application through other parties.
Storage and transfer of personal data
You hereby acknowledge that we have the right to store, process and transfer your Personal Information as set out in this Privacy Policy both within and outside of Egypt. We will take all reasonable measures to protect your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws. You explicitly agree and authorize us to cross border transfer and store your Personal Information within and/or outside of Egypt. We commit take all necessary and reasonable steps to ensure that the Users’ data is processed securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
For purposes such as maintaining the solidity of our databases, carrying out continuous services for the Users, research and statistical analysis, and to adhere to relevant laws and regulations, we keep a long-term record of personal and demographic data given by the Users. Sahl holds no accountability for the precision of the User's provided details but will alter and refresh the Users' personal data in our databases upon their request. We will remove or store the Users' Personal Details from active usage if mandated by law or as per the Users' request. By utilizing or gaining access to the Services, the Users confirm and agree that they comprehend that any information made available to us through the Services can be utilized by us in alignment with relevant laws, this Privacy Policy, and the Customer’s Terms and Conditions of Use.
Sharing of Personal Information to and from the electricity company to complete the charging process and know the details of consumption with third parties to provide a service the Users have requested through a partnership or promotion offered by a third party or by us.
Duration and Termination
This privacy policy shall enter into force from the date of its publication on our website and Sahl Application.
If the user breaches the terms of use of the Sahl Application, the privacy policy, or for any other reasons determines by us at our sole discretion, Sahl may close your account permanently or temporarily or cancel your registration without any liability on Sahl, and without the need to obtain a judicial order or taking any legal actions.
Limitation of Liability
You hereby acknowledge and agree not to hold Sahl, its shareholders, or employees liable for any damages, errors, bugs, or viruses of any kind or for any hack of the Personal Information that result from your use of the Sahl Application or our services.
Security precautions
The Users’ Sahl profile is password-protected so that the Users and their authorized Sahl employees have access to the Users’ account information. Sahl employees will not proactively contact the Users and request any personal account information, including their password.
Sahl makes every effort to ensure the security and protection of the User’s personal data in its system.If the User has any questions about this issue, they can refer to the customer’s terms and conditions of use. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we expressly disclaim liability for any claim or liability that may arise in the event that any parties obtain personal data the User sends to Sahl.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies that set the User apart from other Users of our app. This helps us to give the User a good experience when they browse our app and also allows us to improve our app and our services. By accessing and using the app, the User agrees to our use of cookies.

Governing law and dispute resolution
The Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the provisions of Egyptian law and any dispute arising out of its interpretation, application, validity or termination shall be resolved by the competent Cairo courts.
